This is Fine
About
This is Fine is a game where the player has to light up a campfire. The fire starts at the other end of the map and has to be transferred by buning the trees inbetween. With either blowing or screaming into your microphone, the player can prevent trees and other combustible objects (like explosive barrels and newspapers) to catch fire, resulting in a better score.
Main Roles

Software

- Illustrator, Procreate

Challenges
The was the first game jam I participated in and the first time producing a game in two days.
As I was responsible for the UI, I have also been integraing a microphone input for the first time, as well as microphone switching and sensitivity adjustments.
I experienced how a teams works and together and how the time management can look like. Those takeaways were crucial for following jams.

Dada Longlegs
About
In Dada Longlegs, the player has to move to the goal flag. One does it by dragging the feet: While doing so, the character grows. Try to use this to your advantage and solve the levels.
The game provides exquisite sound design and fun with the wonky physics-based movement and obstacles that require fast actions.
Main Roles
- Game Programming (Movement + Growth)
- Asset Creation
- Sound Design Management
Software
- Unity, C#
- Photoshop
Challenges
I implemented the joint-based system of the legs that enable the character to stand. As this also was the proof of concept (whether the movement works like this or if we had to scrap the idea), it had to be done on the first day of the jam. After a few improvements and figuring out the correct joint type, it felt as natural as a meatball on two legs could feel and we went with it.
On the topics of legs, I have also been responsible of the leg growth. As the size becomes greater than one leg unit, a new joint has to be chained between the last one and the foot. Reversely, if the leg breaks, the respective foot has to reattached to the leg.
Almost all assets are photographs - especially the legs are from the game's developers. I took them during the jam and converted them to assets.

Cardest Dungeon
About
This game is a dungeon crawler where you progress by using or combining cards that are dropped by killed enemies. The map is also consisting of separate cards and has to be altered in order to reach the end boss.
Main Roles
- Game Programming (Health + Mana Bars)
- Asset Creation
- Task Management
Software
- Unity, C#
- Piskel
Challenges
This was a more untypical jam - the teams worked on already existing projects and extended them with new features, fixes or just general cleanup. I joined the team of Cardest Dungeon and we intensely consulted how the game can be elevated to the next level.
As I was one of the members with more experience, I suggested a lot of project management and structural tips after familiarizing myself with the existing code base.
Also, I made new health and mana bars that fit their card-theme better. It was my first time trying out pixel art.
